No documents are needed to apply. At the offer stage we check the right to work in the country where the role is based, as the law there requires.
Hear back
- We aim to confirm it has arrived.
By reply, to the email address you applied from.
- The hiring team reads it.
People who know the work look at what you have sent, against the essentials in the advert.
- A conversation.
By phone, video or in person, about the role and about you.
- For some roles, a practical step.
Such as a site visit or a short task, explained in advance.
- An answer either way.
We aim to tell everyone who applies the outcome, including when it is a no.
We judge applications on skills, experience and potential, not on background, age or where someone learned their trade. How we hire

Yes. Register your interest with a few lines about you and the work you are looking for, and attach a CV if you have one.
A CV helps, but it is not the only way in. A clear summary of your experience in the body of your email works too, especially if you are starting out or have learned your trade on the job.
If you meet the essentials in the advert, yes. The helpful extras are only that. If you are starting out, changing career or coming back to work, Early careers can suggest disciplines that match what you enjoy.

You send them yourself, from your own email app, so you choose what to share. Watford Construction Limited uses them only to consider you for roles and to contact you about them, and keeps them no longer than that needs. You can ask to see, correct or delete them at any time by emailing enquiries@watford-construction.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle them, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
For some roles, yes. A remote advert names the countries or time zones it covers; other roles are based in a named city or out in the field. Choose Remote under Setting to see them, and read the location in each advert before you apply.
