What it connects

Sliding and swing gates, wickets, sectional and roller garage doors, and entrance doors with an electric lock; tilt-and-turn and terrace windows fitted with actuators; external blinds and shutters; and heating through compatible controls¹. Each is a product you may already know from the rest of the house, now listening to the same app¹.

No extra boxes on the wall

For the gate, the garage door and the entrance door, the connection is built into the drives themselves: there is no extra hub, module or wiring¹. The app reaches them over the home’s internet connection, so a working connection at the property is required¹.

On a garage door, a drive with built-in Wi-Fi runs from the app without a central unit². Automatic closing after a set time is a function of the drive, set up when it is commissioned¹.

Scenes

A scene is a list of things your home does in order, written once¹. Coming home, for example, can open the gate, open the garage, unlock the door, lift the blinds and bring the heating up. Leaving can close and lock everything; good night can check every entrance¹.

A ventilate scene can tilt the bedroom windows for twenty minutes and stop the garage door a hand’s width open to air it¹. Scenes are configured with you at commissioning¹.

Access by person, not by key

Give access to the people you trust, for exactly as long as you choose: a window of time, or a number of uses, and you can take it back at any moment¹. Family, a cleaner, a dog walker, a courier or guests each get their own access¹.

The activity log keeps the last 30 days: what was opened or closed, when, and by what, whether the app, a remote, a code or a scene¹. Notifications tell you about events such as a gate left open or a device operated with a remote¹.

When the internet is down

Your remotes, keypads and wall switches carry on exactly as before. The app needs a connection to reach the house, and catches up when the connection returns¹.

If the power fails, know how to open each product by hand, as your instructions describe³. Some garage-door drives take an emergency battery⁴.

Doors and gates you already have

Often they can be connected. It depends on the drive: current drives connect as they are, and an older drive can usually be replaced without changing the gate or the door¹. We confirm this at survey¹.

Windows are motorised with concealed actuators fitted to tilt-and-turn or terrace windows, and blinds use their own drive; suitability is confirmed opening by opening¹. Heater control is planned around the heating you already have and its controls¹.

Availability and privacy

The app is free for phones and tablets and is also available on the web; any optional services are set out in writing with your quotation¹. It is being introduced region by region, so availability in your region and language is confirmed with your quotation¹.

Access is tied to your account and to the people you invite, and you can remove anyone at any time. We share the current privacy and security information with your quotation¹. One account can manage several places, such as a home, a business premises and a holiday house¹.
